It explains the purposes of Modeling and Simulation and the basic approaches. It also discusses the steps in developing a model and the required fidelity for two simulation missions: training and test & evaluation (T&E). Among the concepts covered are the roles of spherical trigonometry, propagation models, the gaming area, and dynamic scenarios.
